Coca Cola Chicken

You can also delight your guests with an exciting chicken recipe flavored with Coca Cola and ginger. This recipe is quickly served and only requires a few simple ingredients.

Ingredients needed to serve 4 people:
1 chicken, cut into serving pieces
1 tbsp freshly sliced ginger 
1 garlic clove, minced   
1 cup soy sauce
4.2 cup Coca Cola (classic, not diet)

Preparation:
1.    Put the chicken into a baking dish. Add the ginger and garlic to the chicken.
2.    Pour soy sauce over chicken. Pour Coca Cola over the chicken. 
3.    Turn the oven on and bring chicken to boil. Turn the heat down, and simmer.
4.    Cook chicken for approximately 45 minutes. 
5.    Serve on hot rice with vegetables of your choice.

Prawns in Coconut Milk

Prawns in Coconut milk is a simple, and yet delicious dish. Served on rice, the dish not only looks lovely, but is also a hugely popular dish. Enjoyed by many, this recipe will surely leave a lasting impression on your guests. Prepared in no longer than 25 minutes, it’s the perfect recipe for anyone who does not enjoy spending hours in the kitchen, or for those who simply don’t have enough time on their hands.

Here is a list of ingredients to make Prawns in Coconut milk (serves 4):
 
17.6 oz Prawns
1 onion
2 garlic gloves
2 fresh red or green chili
2 tbsp oil (groundnut oil)
1 tsp freshly grated ginger
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp curry
1 cup coconut milk
salt to taste
1 sliced lemon

Preparation:
1.    Wash prawns and take the shell off. 
2.    Finely chop the onion and mince the garlic. Wash the chili, cut in halve, remove the seeds and chop them roughly.
3.    In a wok or frying pan, heat the oil. Add the onion, garlic and ginger and fry until transparent. Add Chili, turmeric and curry and fry it for 1 minute. 
4.    Add the prawns. Stir thoroughly for approximately 3 minutes (until they change color) and then add the coconut milk. Add salt to taste.
5.    Keep simmering in low heat for approximately 3 to 5 minutes until the liquid reduces slightly.
6.    To give the dish its final touch, garnish it with slices of lemon and serve on hot rice.  


Steak Tartare
Another quick and delectable tasting dish is Steak tartare, a traditional French dish made from minced raw beef served with a raw egg yolk, mustard, capers, onions, parsley and olive oil. This classic and exquisite dish made with the highest quality minced beef is a mouthwatering dish that never fails to impress guests. Voilà! Dinner is ready in a few minutes.

Here is a list of the ingredients to serve 4 people:

28.2 oz quality beef, like filet mignon or a top sirloin, minced
2 tbsp olive oil
salt and fresh ground pepper to taste 
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp whole grain mustard
1-3 drops of hot pepper sauce (e.g. Tabasco), as desired
4 egg yolks (optional)
1 medium onion, chopped
4 tbsp capers
4 tbsp mayonnaise
4 gherkins
4 tbsp parsley, chopped

Procedure:
1.    Prepare the meat. Place the minced meat into a medium bowl. Add the olive oil, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, whole grain mustard and hot pepper sauce.
2.    Mix all the ingredients with hands until well blended.
3.    Take approximately 1 quarter of the meat and make a ball with it. Place the ball on the serving plate and press the ball lightly to flatten it a little. Take another quarter of the meat and make another ball with it. Then place it on another serving plate and press the ball lightly to flatten it a little. Repeat this procedure for the remaining meat.
4.    Add the egg yolks (optional). Using a tablespoon, press in the centre of each meatball to make a small indent. Break one egg and put yolk in the indent. Repeat this procedure for the remaining meatballs.
5.    At last, garnish. Add some onions, capers, mayonnaise and gherkins to each plate. Spread chopped parsley over the dish. 
6.    Serve French fries and crackers/toast alongside.       


Grilled Tuna Steak
A great way to make an impression on your guests is to serve grilled tuna steaks. Simply fresh ingredients make this a quick and healthy recipe. Fresh tuna steaks marinated in sesame and ginger, grilled and served with salad greens is the perfect dish for when friends or family come over.

Ingredients needed to make sesame-ginger grilled tuna steaks (serves 4):

4 tuna steaks, 1” thick
6 oz sesame oil
1 tbsp dry ginger
2 tbsp sesame seeds
1 tbsp freshly chopped garlic
1 Tbsp sugar

Procedure:
1.    Combine all the ingredients in a small bowl. Whisk together, and season with salt and pepper to taste. 
2.    Rinse and dry the tuna steaks. Brush or spoon marinade on the tuna steaks.
3.    Grill the tuna steaks 2-3 minutes per side for rare, 3-5 minutes for medium-rare. 
4.    While the fish is grilling, toss salad greens with the remaining marinade (or to taste) and divide the salad among the 4 dinner plates.
5.    Arrange the grilled tuna steaks over the salad greens, and serve immediately.


Homemade Pizza
Another dish that will rouse excitement among guests is homemade pizza. Prepared with homemade tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella cheese and various vegetable and meat toppings, homemade pizza is definitely fancy enough for a dinner party. Served with a fresh garden salad on the side, it’s the ultimate meal to surprise your guests.

Ingredients needed for the basic recipe (dough and tomato sauce, without toppings) to serve 4 people:

17.6 oz all purpose flour
salt and pepper to taste
½ tsp sugar
0.7 oz yeast, fresh
1.3 cup warm water
2 tbsp olive oil
5.3 oz Tomatoes, strained
½ tsp oregano
½ tsp rosemary
ketchup
tomato puree
some cheese, grated

Preparation:
1.    Crumble the yeast into small pieces into a mixing bowl. Combine with flour, salt, olive oil and sugar. Add the warm water. Mix thoroughly and let the dough rise.  
2.    Roll out the dough and place it on a baking tray (cover try with baking paper).
3.    Using a fork, poke the dough randomly to deflate it and let the dough rest for a couple of minutes.
4.    Mix tomatoes with oregano and rosemary into a mixing bowl and season to taste with ketchup, tomato puree, salt and pepper.
5.    Smear the sauce onto the pizza dough, add some grated cheese and the toppings of your choice; peppers, mozzarella, mushrooms, salami, corn, chili, olives, etc.
6.    Add more cheese and oregano (if desired).
7.    Place in the oven at 400F and bake pizza until the base is crispy and the cheese has melted (approximately 30 minutes).
