When craving pizza, opt for a thin crust to minimize carb intake.  Instead, add an extra dose of vegetable toppings and Italian spices such as oregano or basil.  Some recipes, such as quiches, may be prepared without the crust.  The result may not hold together as well as it would with the crust included, but you should not taste a big difference in the taste of the filling.
