4 Whole wheat bread slices16 oz. Vegetarian refried beans
1 c. Millet or brown rice; cooked
1/4 c. Oats; quick-cooking
1/4 c. Tomato paste
1/2 Tsp. Garlic powder
1/2 Tsp. Salt
1 Tbs. Arrowroot
3 Tsp. Onion, finely minced
Directions
Process bread, one slice at a time, in a dry blender to form soft crumbs. M all ingredients together well. Form into 8 patties. Brown on each side n a vegetable-oil sprayed non-stick skillet. Serve as is or on whole wheat buns with lettuce, sprouts and ketchup, if desired.
