Ingredients
1/2 c. Butter Or Margarine; Softened1 c. Brown Sugar; Packed
3 Eggs; Large
1 Tsp. Lemon Peel, Grated
1 Tsp. Vanilla
1 c. Flour; Unbleached
1 Tsp. Baking Powder
1/2 Tsp. Salt
1 1/2 c. Figs; Dried, Finely Chopped
Directions
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, peel and vanilla; beat well. Stir together flour, baking powder, and salt; blend into creamed mixture. Stir in figs. Pour into greased 13 X 9 X 2-inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 25 minutes. Cool; cut into bars. Makes 32 bars.
